Formation of Spontaneous Density-Wave Patterns in dc Driven Lattices

چکیده
Driving a many-body system out of equilibrium induces phenomena such as the emergence and decay transient states, which can manifest itself pattern domain formation. The understanding these expands scope established thermodynamics into out-of-equilibrium domain. Here, we experimentally theoretically study dynamics bosonic lattice model subjected to strong DC field, realized ultracold atoms in strongly tilted triangular optical lattice. We observe pronounced density wave patterns -- spontaneously break underlying symmetry using novel single-shot imaging technique with two-dimensional single-site resolution three-dimensional systems, also resolves structure. Spontaneous formation of domain wall lattices in two spatial dimensions
